To make amends, today will just be a pictorial journey of Jalan Sultan from the 1940s to 1960s. These old four photographs are rarely seen. You can see the progress from the old kajang shops complete with kajang roofs towards concrete buildings. The fourth one was taken just after the British arrived back in Brunei after stamping out the 1962 rebellion.
