Aerial Seria

This postcard came up on ebay the other day. I tried to win it but apparently there are other people out there willing to pay the earth for it. I couldn't figure out why.

This aerial photograph of Shell's housing at Seria with Seria itself in the background. I am not very familiar when this is but the houses looked as if this photograph belonged to sometime in the late 1970s or early 1980s. Seria itself does not seemed to have changed much. We do know that there are changes.

Anyway, this is for the Seria people out there.

Thanks Mr BR for bringing back memories from my boyhood's hometown. I remember vividly the field in the middle where I used to run around on with the neighbours. The area specifically in F20, Lorong 2 where now all the BSP residential houses in this area are no longer around. The stilt houses' area at the bottom of the photo is where the existing OGDC situated. Cool and windy place just beside the seaside.

I used to reside in one of those BSP quarters. Me and my friends used to go to the nearby drain to catch ' karok fishes '. Later we would cycled to the nearby beach and did silly stunts on the sand & dykes. In the evening, we would adjourned either to 'Universal Cafe ' or the old food stalls and had some bites. Those were the fun and carefree free days.
